The 21 Day Gratitude Journey, Day 7

NEW TO THE GRATITUDE JOURNEY?  HERE’S A QUICK OVERVIEW!

JOIN IN WHENEVER YOU’RE READY…

HERE’S THE PLAN:

I’LL SPEND THE NEXT 21 DAYS FOCUSED ON GRATITUDE. EACH DAY I WILL FOCUS ON ONE ASPECT & EACH DAY I WILL SHOW MY GRATITUDE & APPRECIATION TO SOMEONE NEW.

And what I’d love is for you to join me. Tell your friends, your family, co-workers, anyone.

I honestly feel that if we can embrace gratitude & all the goodness in the world, then we’ll be able to make amazing & far reaching positive change.

We are all capable of amazing things & it’ll take far less effort than you may think!

Gratitude is step one.

Assignment for Day 7:

1. How do you show gratitude to the success, victories & all the good things in your life?  It is far easier to be grateful once the “bad” things are over than it is to be grateful for the “good” things while they are still present.

So how can you make gratitude a part of your daily life when everything is going right? How can you not forget to give thanks and appreciate all the good things when you have without the other side of things?

If you think this is a funny question, then let me reframe it.

People rarely call on this God, Spirit, Universe for help or support in the happiest moments of their lives.  Some may ask for blessings, but more often than not, that showing of gratitude is absent.

However, as soon as there is a problem, a natural disaster, a death, an illness, etc, then we call upon our higher power for help & swear up and down that you would be so grateful if “……” would happen.

Sound familiar?

Let’s try and break that pattern and make gratitude a thing for all times, both good & bad.

Spend a few minutes thinking & writing. Choose one place to collect your thoughts for our 21 day journey.

2. Choose your seventh person to show gratitude to. You are free to speak your gratitude, write your gratitude or show your gratitude.

Any way that feels the most appropriate, that is how you need to do it.

Be honest & open. You are doing everything right!

Please feel free to share your thoughts below. Ask for help, guidance or support.

I find it a bit easier to be grateful for challenges than it is for happier moments. Why? Because you don’t really think that the good will go away.

I am making a conscious effort to really embrace all the good every single day.

I begin and end my day by praying. It’s not some old-school fall down on my needs kind of praying (even though that’s totally fine by me) but an earnest praying. I start with good, I end with good. I bless those that have challenged me throughout the day and I thank for all the good that has crossed my path.

It’s very simple, but keeps me in the habit of being grateful NO MATTER WHAT is going on.
