The 21 Day Gratitude Journey, Day 17

NEW TO THE GRATITUDE JOURNEY?  HERE’S A QUICK OVERVIEW!

JOIN IN WHENEVER YOU’RE READY…

HERE’S THE PLAN:

I’LL SPEND THE NEXT 21 DAYS FOCUSED ON GRATITUDE. EACH DAY I WILL FOCUS ON ONE ASPECT & EACH DAY I WILL SHOW MY GRATITUDE & APPRECIATION TO SOMEONE NEW.

And what I’d love is for you to join me. Tell your friends, your family, co-workers, anyone.

I honestly feel that if we can embrace gratitude & all the goodness in the world, then we’ll be able to make amazing & far reaching positive change.

We are all capable of amazing things & it’ll take far less effort than you may think!

Gratitude is step one.

Assignment for Day 17:

1. How do you show your gratitude towards forgiveness or for second chances?

Are you grateful for the ability to forgive or for having been forgiven in the past?  Are you grateful for that to happen in the future?  How do you feel about second chances- either giving or receiving?

When you are able to forgive or be forgiven, gratitude may be a fleeting emotion.  How can you create it so that the gratitude is something felt by both the giver and receiver?  And if you don’t believe in forgiveness or in being forgiven, then what are you thoughts around this?

Spend a few minutes thinking & writing. Choose one place to collect your thoughts for our 21 day journey.

2. Choose your seventeenth person to show gratitude to. You are free to speak your gratitude, write your gratitude or show your gratitude.

Any way that feels the most appropriate, that is how you need to do it.

Be honest & open. You are doing everything right!

Please feel free to share your thoughts below. Ask for help, guidance or support.

We’re all in this together

I am very grateful for forgiveness. Sometimes you miss something really amazing by writing off someone who may have hurt you in the past. (Sometimes you’re right, but that’s another story…)

When you allow yourself to forgive, you’re letting go. By letting go, you’re more open to experiencing the good in life. I always try to see all points of view. I always try to forgive as if I was the one needing forgiveness. And I most definitely believe in 2nd chances, just not always 3rd or 4th or 5th chances.
